ABOUT THE AMERICAN LEGION & POST 215

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.

Post 215 Goochland was Chartered August of 1946.  Many of our founding Legionnaires were getting together for fellowship prior to the Charter being issued.  From them, we have learned what it means to be dedicated to serving our Country and our Community.

Every year we select officers that are dedicated to furthering the outreach and fellowship of Post 215.  The officers for 2019-2020 are pictured below.
